Well. It's April 1st and that means April Fools Day and pranks. I don't usually do pranks for April Fools Day since I'm really not all that clever, but last year I decided to a nice prank in the form of cupcakes. My boss hates pasta. By hates, I mean loathes. By loathes, I mean detests. By detests, I mean...well you get the picture. Even the thought of pasta grosses her out. She can't stand to look at people eating pasta and the reaction she gets from watching someone slurp a noodle is similar to one I would get if a spider decided to decend from the ceiling into my line of sight.
Last year, I decided I was going to make cupcakes for April Fools Day. I announced to the office (there's only 3 of us) but wouldn't divulge what kind. My boss was pretty excited. I mean, it's cupcakes...who wouldn't be?
While I love to bake, I don't necessarily have the prowess of a professionl baker, but I try. I pulled down my cupcake book, turned to the proper page, and got to work. The result was fantastic! I had to repeatedly slap the hands of my family to keep their fingers out of it.
Now, you may at this point be wondering what pasta and cupcakes have to do with each other. Well here's a picture.
My boss walked in. Saw these cupcakes. Screamed, declared them vile, vowed to not eat one, finally asked what it was, and decided to eat one. She loved it.
What pranks have you pulled for April Fools Day and what was the outcome?
